Noelle Mason

Sometimes pinhole photography can make a skydiver look like a free-falling mustachio, and sometimes it can look like a floating pirate ship. I suppose it’s all up to your imagination to interpret the collection “BLUE SKIES/BLACK DEATH” by Chicago based artist Noelle Mason. Dark Title, feel-good imagery – if you ask me anyway. (=

New Modern Artist | Beth Hoeckel

I heard that a giant comet will be making it’s way through our solar system that will blast bigger than the moon! I wonder if that’s what Baltimore City artist, Beth  Hoeckel was thinking about when she created her beautiful space collages? Well, she’s sure to have a fun bit more inspiration come this November (=

New Modern Artist | Dan Martensen

Dan Martensen is a Fashion Photographer in New York Cit y. His resume is quite impressive. At some point he must have taken a nice long road trip through the desert southwest. He took enough pictures along the way to make a beautiful book about the trip. And why wouldn’t he?  It’s a beautiful story of how deserted the desert can feel. We have a joke about the long stretch of highway between Arizona and Texas. The joke is this: “See Live Snake: $1″. If you’ve done the drive, you know what I’m talking about. It definitely deserves a book to commemorate it.
